Policies & Care
-
A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a fixture and secure your place in my queue. This deposit covers design time and guarantees that your chosen chandelier will not be sold to someone else.
-
Once painting has begun, colors cannot be changed without an additional repainting fee. In some cases, changes may not be possible at all.
-
I’ll always give a realistic estimate before we begin. Timelines are not guaranteed and may shift. I balance this work alongside other jobs and responsibilities, and I appreciate your patience. I’ll keep you updated and often share progress photos along the way.
-
My chandeliers are painted with alcohol inks and sealed with multiple protective layers. To keep your piece looking its best:
Use indoors only
Avoid direct sunlight or prolonged UV exposure
Avoid humid environments such as bathrooms
Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth only
-
All Custom Lights by Dark chandeliers include a one-year limited paint warranty. If any painted crystal pieces show unexpected wear or issues under normal indoor, low-humidity conditions, I will repaint the affected pieces at no cost. The buyer is responsible for shipping the crystals to me and for return shipping once the repainting is complete.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by drops, rough handling, improper installation, exposure to humidity or steam, direct sunlight, pets, or any modifications made after delivery. Because each chandelier is hand-painted and uniquely sealed, natural variation is expected and part of the artwork—but structural components of the fixture are not covered, and will not be repaired or replaced.
-
The $100 deposit is non-refundable.
If a project is canceled after painting has begun, additional fees may apply based on work already completed. -
Because every fixture is hand-painted, you can expect small variations & imperfections that make your piece one-of-a-kind. Many of my favorite chandeliers also start their lives as vintage fixtures, so gentle signs of age or previous love may be visible. I clean, prep, and refresh them carefully, but they’re not factory-new and that’s part of their charm.
